General information

This page contains information on the lecture course "Theory of Superconductivity". This course is offered as part of the DFG Graduate School (Graduiertenkolleg) 1651 "Itinerant magnetism and superconductivity in intermetallic compounds" and of the International Max Planck Research School "Dynamical Processes in Atoms, Molecules and Solids". The course counts as a "Wahlpflichtvorlesung" for the Diploma in physics and as a "Vertiefung" for the Bachelor of Science in physics at the TU Dresden. The time and place of the lecture and the tutorial are as follows:

Lectures and tutorials:

The tutorials take place on Thursdays in even weeks, but starting only on November 3. I have moved the tutorials to Thursday because of a time conflict and because the lecture Hall PHY/C213 is better suited for lectures. Problem sets for the tutorials are provided on this page. There is also the opportunity for students to give half-hour talks on topics related to the course. Here is a list of possible topics. Active solution of problems or a talk are required to get credit for this course.

Note: The tutorial on December 1 is canceled due to the Graduate School workshop.
